Angela Dispenzieri is a Chair of Hematology Research at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota. She is the immediate past president of the International Society of Amyloidosis. She chairs the Amyloid Interest Group at the Mayo Clinic. She also developed the first internationally recognized AL amyloidosis staging system in 2004.
Dr. Dispenzieri completed her graduation from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1985. She then pursued her MD from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1991 and completed her Residency and Fellowship from Mayo Clinic College of Medicine.
Dr. Angela Dispenzieri has an experience in treating conditions like amyloidosis, cryoglobulinemia, monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance, multiple myeloma, osteosclerotic myeloma and POEMS syndrome.
Dr. Dispenzieri is associated with various departments and programs in the hospital including Transplant Center, Bone Marrow Transplant Program, Hematology Department, and Cancer Center.
