La amiloidosis es una enfermedad compleja que requiere de la participación de múltiples especialidades como son la cardiología, hematología, nefrología, medicina nuclear, anatomía patológica, etc.
En el Hospital Universitario Puerta de Hierro se ha desarrollado un Programa Multidisciplinar de atención a pacientes con amiloidosis donde participan profesionales de todas las especialidades mencionadas anteriormente.
La especialización del centro en esta enfermedad permite ofrecer a los pacientes tratamientos experimentales y alternativas de tratamiento específicas.
