City of Hope is committed to beating this difficult disease. They have played a role in nearly every modern treatment for multiple myeloma in use today and are leaders in national trials evaluating stem cell transplantation for myeloma.
They are also the only Southern California member of the Multiple Myeloma Research Consortium, a partnership of some 22 facilities across the country, dedicated to rapidly bringing the most promising new treatments to patients.
With the help of support from the Briskin family, they have created a central organizational structure singularly focused on this challenging disease: the Judy and Bernard Briskin Center for Multiple Myeloma Research within the Hematologic Malignancies and Stem Cell Transplantation Institute.
They are committed to aggressively pursuing and encouraging new research, developing new and improved treatments and collaborating with myeloma experts nationally and internationally.
